We are bringing together locals for a picnic to celebrate community and have fun on Sunday, the 18th June 2017 at Chepstow Castle. Would you like to be a part of the team?
We need all sorts of help to organise the event, from contacting musicians and community groups, to running children’s activities, help with health and safety, setting up, coordinating and cleaning up on the day.
We need a few more people to help us make Chepstow Big Lunch a great day!
Join us at our next Big Lunch meetings on Thursday 2nd and 23rd March 2017 at 7.30pm, upstairs at The Lime Tree in Chepstow!
If you can’t make it and would like to have a chat, please contact us at biglunch@transitionchepstow.org.uk or call Tim at 07971 566936.

After an unsettled start to the day, the weather cleared by mid morning… perfect litter picking conditions!
A total of 17 volunteers + children from Transition Chepstow, Chepstow Walkers are Welcome and Garden City Community gathered at the allotments by Fisherman’s Walk & we amassed a total of 22 purple bags (tins, plastic bottles) & 22 orange bags (general waste) / white heavy duty bags (glass). Other items included part of a jack, lamp stand, roof felt, fence wire and car light assembly unit. No needles found.
The slope was completely cleared, helped by Steve with his ropes + trolley (“Thunderbird 2”), to move everything back to the collection point.
Thanks to all who came along to help!
You can contact Paul to join a future litter pick or for more information: litter@transitionchepstow.org.uk.
A group of 8 volunteers cleared an area from litter near Lewis Way in Thornwell on 5th March 2016. They made good progress in just under 2 hours and the weather was fine. You can contact Paul to join a future litter pick or for more information: litter@transitionchepstow.org.uk.
Thanks to all participants!
